FACING ISSUE WITH YOUR PRINTER ?
If your Lexmark printer is showing an offline error, it can interrupt important tasks and cause unnecessary delays. Fortunately, this issue can usually be resolved with a few quick and simple troubleshooting steps. Here’s how to get your printer back online and working smoothly.
First, check physical connections. Ensure the printer is powered on and all cables are securely connected. If you're using Wi-Fi, make sure both your printer and computer are on the same network. Restart your printer, computer, and router to refresh the network connection.
Next, go to your computer’s printer settings. On Windows, navigate to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, select your Lexmark printer, and click Open Queue. Make sure Use Printer Offline is unchecked. Also, set the printer as the default device. If using a Mac, open System Settings > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and re-add it if necessary.
Outdated drivers are a common cause of offline issues. Visit the official Lexmark support website and download the latest drivers and firmware compatible with your operating system. Install them and restart the printer.
For network printers, consider assigning a static IP address to prevent connection dropouts. If the printer is connected via USB, try using a different port or cable.
You can also run the Windows Printer Troubleshooter to automatically detect and fix common issues.
If the problem persists, reset the printer to factory settings and reconnect it. Contact Lexmark support for further assistance.
