These offline errors aren't exclusive to Epson devices. Users familiar with Canon printers, installing or setting up all-in-one printers, will recognize similar troubleshooting steps, whether it involves USB connections, Wi-Fi instability, or driver incompatibility.
Before diving into settings and software, always start with the basics. Make sure your Epson printer is turned on and receiving power. Check the power cable, outlet, or power strip if the machine has no lights or sound. Try a different outlet if needed.
Next, confirm that all data cables—USB or Ethernet—are correctly connected. A loose cable can easily break the communication link between the Printer and the computer.

Network-connected Epson receipt printers rely on proper IP configuration to stay connected. A common issue occurs when the Printer receives a dynamic IP address that changes periodically, breaking the connection with your POS.
You can print the current network settings page from the Printer to find its IP address. Then, try typing that IP into a web browser from the same network to access the Printer's web interface. If it loads, the Printer is connected. If not, it may have disconnected from the network or changed the IP address.
Assigning a static IP address during initial setup, similar to advanced options during a Canon printer's installation, can prevent future connection issues.
